Americana and Patriotic Porch Decor is a favorite summertime theme, so invest in a few signature pieces and it will keep you waving your banners proudly for a lifetime.
This month I’m sharing my passion for Americana patriotic porch decor with images from my own home. I purchased these large flags and banners from Martha by Mail years ago. I’m so disappointed the catalog is no longer in circulation. It was my bible for decor back then. I’ve kept several of the old catalogs for styling ideas. Her signature designs are timeless. But I have seen banners similar to the ones pictured below at specialty flag stores and even on eBay. So if do a little research, you can achieve the same look.
I say let the red, white and blue patriotic porch decor stay up the whole summer!
In Utah, we celebrate the pioneers reaching the Salt Lake valley, arriving on 24 July 1847. The Deseret News sponsors a marathon and 10K on the morning of July 24th followed by a huge parade that travels through the streets of downtown Salt Lake, and then Liberty Park hosts the fireworks in the evening. It’s an event the entire state celebrates. So in July, we have reason to leave up the red, white and blue and extend the Americana patriotic porch decor throughout the whole month.
